Sword - EICKHORN Von Stein model ??

Article about: Hi! My new acquisition..into the collection...The handle is plastic,but made under the skin of the Stingray..

    Looks like a molded plastic grip, which would mean it's post WW2. Plastics at the time were limited to bakelite and celluloid. A replacement rivet has been put through the grip to secure it, and maybe a touch of gold paint. Other parts look authentic Third Reich era.

    Here's an example of this type of molded plastic grip on a replica sword of similar type commonly on sale.

    I think that Anderson "nailed it" (got it right) . The closeup images do show what appears to be a postwar rework. Best Regards, Fred

    Morever, the blade is an EP&S while the handle is a EICKHORN Von Stein model ... Definitively a Frankenstein sword but it looks good actually !
