    Seen two identical to yours here in Canada over the years.....
    They have etched "demasceening" on the blades.

    Yeah, a few pop up here and there, but no one seems to know their origin. Apparently there is one in the Police Exhibit down in Florida as well.

    Yeah, sorry, not sure if the spelling is correct - What I meant was - they have fake or artificial Demascus patterns etched onto the blades.

    It's a term used to describe the patterns made when two or more metals are fused together in a process not unlike the way Samurai blades are produced.
