Bad pics but from what i can see it looks good to me and for what the seller is asking its a steal

It's missing much of it's gilding and the grip has a good sized crack in it, and the blade is the cheaper unetched version, but it looks to be an original Eickhorn and it does have it's portapee, which if tied on correctly could possibly cover that grip crack abit. As said, very over polished.

Original late war Eickhorn navy dagger. Like Ger said, the price is a steal. Dealers are asking € 150 and more for a navy portepee alone.

Ok on the dagger, but it has been heavily polished/cleaned.

The portipee looks like a Heer type - a short one may not
fit correctly as there are specific lengths.........

Steve i think its the one that belongs to the dagger and the correct one also.
Salty sea envirement makes them have a color change like this one has, the lenght looks fine to me too.

I believe they are supposed to be 19 inches - the cords.........

The KM Sheaths measure 9.85 inches, and in the photo, the portapee looks to be approximately twice the length of the sheath, which would bring it up to the 19 inch range. Considering the elaborate overlapping knots tied on them, this one looks to be the proper length for a KM portapee. If it were properly tied on, I'm sure this one would look as it should.

Well Kris, no feedback on the input of your collector buddy's?
I would like to know if you bought it

    Groet,
