    Thanks for sharing your example. Your dagger is great to see. The one I posted definitely lacks the detail within the pommel eagle ect. I will conclude the one I posted is a reproduction.

    My opinion would be that it's a modern made replica. There are several red flags-such as the hole in the grip for the wire, the pommel eagle, lack of any patina whatsoever-even on the grip wire, etc.

    Im cautious of the scabbard being authentic..which was parted with a junk dagger to hump it up. Good decision Anzel Regards Larry

    I'm glad to see they still don't manage to make repro kriegsmarine daggers that come close to the originals Like others said, this one is a post war example all the way. I'm surprised to see how ugly the eagle was made.
