Waffenstamps in the WW2 erea were person related, so for example WaA233 was R.Schmidt.
This mister Schmidt would be controlling/detached (to) a production plant for a certain period of time, after 1 year he would get another plant to "controle".
This was done to keep a distance between the controller and the producer, you dont want them to become friends....
It might be possible that in the interbellum this same method was in use.
That might could explain why an Amo controle stamp could turn up on a edged weapon like this Marine dagger.
