my guess is it is a good original.
the reverse is marked R V 67

It looks fine to me. Do they make copies of this award?

Well, I'm sure the quality of fakes is quite low compared to an original. The money is simply not there to make high quality fakes, in my opinion. I'm fairly sure that yours is fine, even though I don't have much experience with these.
