I would like the add that the badge looks good to me too. I have only seen two in person (that includes the example belonging to Mr. Ailsby) and your eample matches up. This is an award where the term very rare is more than appropriate.

Yes it looks OK, however this is not an award but, I believe, a regimental badge.
