Is this a bad fake? Weighs in at 30.5 grms and measures 47.2mm diameter. But I haven't seen one with this hardware before.

I could be wrong, but I'm really not liking the rough texture of this badge. Normally the space above the wing is also open, but I have seen a zinc R.S with the same feature.

I know what you're saying, it doesn't fill me with much confidence. I did have a good look in the Weber and Skora Kriegs awards book, and like you say, RS hardware is close, but the weight and dimensions aren't close and the catch is completely wrong.
