    thanks ade . i've got 2 repros and 2 tunics for ww2 reenactment.my commander told me that i shouldn't sew it onto hbt drillich as it wasn't common. he wears it just on wool uniform.i've tried to find some wartime photos with wh gebirgsjager in drillich with kreta cuff , but failed. many thanks for info.cheers.petr

    It would not be commonly worn on the HBT uniform. But it was allowed.

    Having been a re-enactor for 31 years now, I would always recommend portraying the "norm" rather than wearing something which was seldom seen. I think your CO is correct.
