Im not very sure, the Afrika Symbol that is represented in alot of "Afrika Corps" items is most thought as a post war fantasy decal.

It think that this is a post war remembrance sort of pin. Possibly for a gathering of veterans in the 50's.
This is just my guess though...certainly not a period pre May 1945 item.

No swastika, so obviously not wartime period. The fact that it's been replaced by the Iron Cross as so many of the 57 style awards have makes me think it is at best a AK veterans or support pin, but more likely simply fantasy junk. The seller has a very odd mixture of a few genuine things, some outright garbage (like the German Rings...) and seems to sell alot of erotic keychains... Does Not instill a huge amount of confidence...

It's indeed a modern fake. About the palmtree badge, it existed (see the photo).
