Cheers, Ade.

I am thinking that it could just be a good luck brooch as the swastika is the symbol of good luck. The swastika seems to be surrounded by a horse shoe which is also a symbol of good luck. So I don't think it has anything to do with the Third Reich era.
Thanks, Glen.
Beat me to it Ade.
That makes two of us, I've never seen one before either. I'm not sure it's a moon, looking at the crescent shape the details are like a horseshoe which means the badge would be worn with the open side uppermost.
I believe it to be a good luck/religious token and nothing to do with the Third Reich.
Beat me to it Ade and Glen!
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....

I think it may have something to do with the hindu religon. It could possibly be work in a faith sense as i think the swastika symbol of peace for hindus.
It looks like gold? Probably 1910's-20's, if not hallmarked, Indian
Thanks guys, greatly appreciated. It's not gold, for sure; I wish it was... Not sold on the idea of a horseshoe, but would make sense if it's from India as a good luck brooch.
I bet if I'd show it to anybody, no one would associate it with good luck; everyone would say it's Nazi (except you).
Thanks again.
