I have to be honest Joachim, I'm not a big fan of this badge. I've compared it to some known original Juncker type 1 badges and there are a number of differences.

Hi Adrian,

thanks for reply.Whats wrong in your opinion with the badge.In my opinion it is a textbook original badge with a replaced catch.

Hi Joachim,
There are some details on the snake heads and the skull which might require a closer look. I'm not calling the badge a fake but equally can't say it's an original either. I really don't know for sure as these are quite specialist and learning the individual features and flaws is not something I've mastered.
I hope some more folks can help out here.

its not easy for,me to find the right words in english,to explain about a bandenkampfabzeichen.I will say,i am not a expert,but i spend some time to study about this badges.I know three types about the typ 1 (1.1; 1.2;1.3).

There are different details between this three types about the shape,for example details at the skull,snakes and the wreath.But some details there are find on all three variants of type 1.I show it on the pictures.How can i upload pictures in this tead??

I get the badge from the daughter of the holder with the Besitzzeugnis.

If you want to upload photos, click on the 'Go Advanced' button in the bottom right hand corner and then scroll down to the 'Pictures Upload' button and go from there.

As I said, these are quite specialist and the quality does vary alot from what I've seen and trying to learn the different types within different types is quite a challenge. There are things I like as well as things I don't but if you got it from the family of the recipient and it has provenance then it obviously makes it alot more 'safe'!

Yes i get it from the family,but it is not a reasen that a badge is good.I get also fakes from private,with "nice" storys about it.But in this time,i am sure that all is o.k.I will post tomorrow,pictures from the Besitzzeugnis.I have to make photos from it.

Hi Joachim and Adrian

Without a doubt - textbook bronze Juncker type 1 - 100 % original - with extremely excellent finish .More valuable - because it's coming with relevant paperwork.
Below is mine - also 2011 addition , little brother of yours ( shifted from overseas back to Europe ).
Reverse - 3 o'clock : on yours - the crack is just developing , on mine - is more prominent.

Thank you for posting Flieger. If you open Joachims badge and yours side by side, compare the snake head on the upper left, they are very different. I was also looking at the skulls. The skull on Joachims' badge looks like it is wearing glasses, there seems to be a double eyesocket. Are these differences acceptable for these type 1 badges?
