Lacking in a lot of detail, the skull almost disappears into the laurels....

To me it looks like a cast, just doesn't look right, mind you I have only ever seen one in the flesh

Sorry but i have to agree with AMTG (sorry i don't know you name ), that the detail doesn't look as sharp as the original in the link, but please this is just my opinion and i may be wrong,

hi , on the first image it looks like you can see a casting line below the oak leaves under the skull on the lower edge . the detail is not what i would expect on this example . i myself would steer clear of this award . a dangerous award to chase without expert advise in my opinion as its one of the most faked war badges .....pavel
