Bavarian Soldier medal bar

Along with a number of stick pins and a lovely golden box, this medal bar arrived during the week.

The soldier fought during The Great War as a member of the Royal Bavarian Army, 1st Royal Bavarian Division, 7 Feld-Artillerie, the Prinz Regent Luitpold Regiment (Königlich Bayerisches 7. Feldartillerie-Regiment „Prinzregent Luitpold")

The regiment was demobilised after the war, this chap went on to have a long career in the Fire Service and was eventually awarded the Feuerwehr-Ehrenzeichen.

The bronze coloured badge is dated 1939 and was probably to commemorate a veterans reunion.
