Black shooting cord

    Default Black shooting cord

    This is my first post on this forum. Not to long ago I ran into a shooting cord. The wool backing on the back happened to be black. Would this mean the shooting cord was used by the SS or Panzer troops. Or could the backing just be replacement. Any thoughts would be helpful

    No SS connection in any case. The SS did not have marksmanship lanyards of its own, and SS Men who had qualified for a marksmanship lanyard while serving in the armed forces were not allowed to wear it with their SS uniform.
