.. that is not the right position, normally they are marked where I put the red points.
sincerly I 'm not so expert but seems strange to me if there is the 3rd variante..

My brass one is marked on the left and under the croc. My pot metal ones are marked on the left and right of the croc. Also under. Rich A. in Pa.

It is quite normal to find a mark under the crocodile, the mark being De Marchis. Look here Italian/German Africa Campaign Medal in Silver - R.M.Militaria

Welcome to the forum RM. The 2 medals are different. The one you have in your website is marked both underneath the croc and on the left. The one posted here is marked only underneath the croc.
