Does the Deschler etui for the 40 Jahr version also indicate that the medal itself is maker marked in some way? Or is it just the box that is marked? I have a box for my 25 but not my 50, and I don't want to buy a marked box if it doesn't match my medal. I can't see any hersteller on my ribbon rings on either example I own. Is this the case with all of them?

I have never seen a maker marked 25, 40 or 50 yr service medal. I actually wonder why this is.

Thats a good question. maybe because they are civil awards and not directly military or party related?
