Just bought this paid £20 has CEJ mark on the back ( is that Junkers ) any opinions?

i assumed it was ( if its a real one ) a early brass plated version.

" Juncker badges are arguably the best, and certainly one of the most desirable pilot badges. The early high quality versions can be found in two distinct patterns. The first, produced from 1936 to approximately 1939, has a very flat eagle and thinner wreath. The space between the eagle�s legs is often pierced in order to give a three dimensional look. "

Juncker pilot badges are almost always marked in one of two ways. The first version is the letters �CEJ� inside a rectangle. This is the earlier mark and is only found on the first pattern badge.

Hi Jon,
You are correct, the CEJ mark is for Juncker and was used very early on in 1936 production. The badge is however a fake and the makers mark is very different from an original

maybe it will come in handy for re-enacting Ade i have a good copy and a real one already though with nicely blued eagles, this one looks a little too worn to portray on a uniform i think but then it could be used to ' show ' what a real one looked like i suppose albeit aged 60 yrs

, anyway 20 quid is more than the re-enactment suppliers sell a good one for unless a museum copy so might be hard pushed to make the 20 quid back haha
