Hi folks. I'm curious if there are any known reproductions of the rare Cholm 1942 shield award. Any info on how they were issued? For instance, we're they issued as just the medal or attached to a wool backing? Thanks for the info!

There are heaps of repro's for the CHOLM shield as there are for any other THIRD REICH peice, a very broad question my friend!!

Rare awards = common repros.
Wherever there is money to be made faking an item you can be sure many enterprising people have tried. Especially high end and rare pieces.

I figured this was the case. Here are the two pics I received of the Cholm 1942 Sheild from the seller. He has no idea if it's authentic and I really can't tell either. Thoughts? Thanks as always.

The eagle looks like it is wearing a baseball type helmet. That makes it a fake.
