I've had this shield for a great length of time. As you can see it's maker marked on the reverse all of the prongs are intact. A bit of rust not too much cancer . Any input would be appreciated

I'm no shield expert, but I tend to agree with Nicola. I can't recall seeing any JFS stamps like that. Stewy
Hi, the "levels" of the Demjansk wording looks very erratic to me and a touch soft on detail, that along with the stamp to the reverse would make me worry. Leon.

As Nicola says, it's bad. This particular type is known as the "Open Beak" fake. I haven't seen one of these horrors for a long time, it's normally the "Serif J" type that haunts the halls of this forum.
