A nice clean Demjansk Shield with backing. I now have the Kuban and Demjansk. Need to start looking for the Krim, Narvik and maybe the Cholm to complete.

Never a document/citation to support it though. You could include Lorient shield, some are deemed to be period. But again no legit citation to support it. Whereas Lapplands do. Stewy

It's a type 4.5 by an unknown maker, these were all made from steel and hence magnetic. It was also the basis of the notorious fake "Serif J" shield that has caught out so many collectors over the years. Fortunately yours is a good one, and in a very nice collectible condition too.
