Hello'i'm no expert by any means on this peice but that said i do like the tear drop suspenstion ring and the award as a whole appears to have a good quality about it.I would wait for some top expert opinion but i like it!!

It is an original and these images are great to see the high level of detail and quality put into these awards. Compare this one with some of the fakes that have been posted and you can see the difference.
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....

Original, of course...and in Stunningly great condition. But then, it's made by Godet...the makers of the Pour le Merite!

Godet held "21" or L/50
An original and beauty nonetheless.
