Very nice indeed. I too will have one of these one day. It really is one of the most beautifully designed awards of the TR period.

Very nice! That is a superb example. I have one in that condition but sadly it is an S&L and therefore viewed with suspicion by "collecting community" standards.

Hey Todd , thanks for your comment ... I did read about the S&L cross in Maerz book but who knows someday they may confirm that it was wartime produced . They sure look like they were . Glad to hear from another Texan . I wish you good fortune . Raz
P.S. Thank you for your service sir !
One of the nicer examples I have seen. Still has full highlights on the tips, enamel looks fresh. I like these sitting on black velvet, but the red is nice too. Happy for you !

Had to come back to this. Saw it on my cell phone but now looking at it on my PC. This is a stunning example.
"Please", Thank You" and proper manners appreciated
My greatest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them

You are very welcome.
I bought my S&L DKiG back in 1995 before forums and the high quality reference books that we have today. I completely agree that they look wartime produced. The quality is superb. I don't lose sleep over it, but it would be nice if eventually there is proof they were produced during the war.
Hope you don't mind but I'll show what I'm talking about.
