Good cheap medals there I would buy them myself!!! you could keep 2 sell 2...But you could get better examples.. I got a brand new Westwall medal & envelope..for £25...Looks nice sat in the display cabinet!!! thanks for posting Terry.
The Ost medals do have "zinc pest". Apply some vaseline to help arrest it. If you do a search on the forum you should get a low down on zinc pest. Stewy
Here is the one I bought, I wanted to see how he worked and what not.
How does it look?
Seems "light" is that normal for these medals? I haven't held one before.
Thanks
Cody
Normal. This seems like it could be a later zinc medal,
unless only the bronze finish is tarnished.........

Steve.
Cody heres my Westwall medal,I did get the packet too but that is tucked away all safe & sound!! Yours looks good too me!! Cheers Terry.
So, what are the different kinds of West Wall medals. Mine is a late period one?
Where does mine fit in the different kinds?
There were two separate awards of the West Wall Medal. The first ones
were made of tombac/brass with a bronzed finish, and later in the war,
a second edition in zinc was produced with the same bronzed finish.
Many of the zinc type are losing - or have lost - their plating
and the grey base metal shows through.........

Interesting info, like I always say, as long as mine is real... I'm Happy.
So, for displaying, should label as Second Edition?
