try with no flash.
Any more thoughts on this one until better pics can be posted?
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....
Looks to be a little lacking in detail and the suspension ring appears to be soldered to a 'lug' on the rim. Could be a later Spanish produced example rather than a wartime Deschler. I know these were produced post-war for Spanish veterans as there were no restrictions on the use of the swastika in Franco's Spain.
FWIW, here is my example.
Compared to yours Glenn the details do look to be a little soft but it's hard to judge in the harsh light of the original photos. The flash tends to wash away alot of detail. Comparing the font and details of the letters, they do look to be a good match. I would be optimistic that the medal in post #1 is good but if we can get better pics it is difficult for me at least to be 100% sure.

Hard to tell its originality with the flash as it blurs out the details.
But if original I would assume it's a post war Spanish variation.
Hello, I have asked the seller better pictures without flash, but unfortunately I sent them, so I decided not to have made the purchase.
Thank you very much everyone for your views
regards
Fernando
