Hi Apace, welcome to the forum!
Sorry to say that the medal is a fantasty item which never existed during the Third Reich. The ribbon is taken from a Hindenburg Cross. It was most likely made in Eastern Europe as a tourist item and sold on flea markets.

There's a twist to this thread. The medal in question doesn't seem to a 'fantasy' item after all. These did exist in a Danish Freikorps...

This is a copy of a "Schalburg-cross" from Denmark.
The original have a needle on the back...
Never seen it before with a ring on
But it is a Hindenburg-ribbon....
