The maker on the SA is not so common either I think.
interesting dont know much about them will have to get a book on maker marks etc
That number 35269 on the DRL Badge is not the badge's serial number ( they all have it ) ; it is the DRGM trademark Registration nr.
Have been on google, done some research. It transpires that rowing at the Summer Olympics featured 7 events for men only. Germany only won one silver medal in the men's double sculls event. That was Willi Kaidel and Joachim Pirsch. I can't get a picture of the medal anywhere else, am I on the right lines or completely wrong? Help appreciated.
One thing's for sure: The rowing medal has nothing to do with the Olympic Games. The Summer Olympics were held at Berlin in 1936, while this medal is identifed by its inscription as being for some tournament/competition held on 5 September 1937 at Stuttgart.
The eagle-and-swastika on the medal's obverse is the type used by the NSRL [Nationalsozialistischer Reichsbund für Leibesübungen, i.e. "National Socialist Reichs League for Physical Exercise"]

The ribbon on the NSRL rowing medal is black & yellow because those are the official colors of the city of Stuttgart/ colors of its coat-of-arms.
help much appreciated gents i searched all day yesterday online, and no luck only recognising the eagle design from the nsrl but still couldnt find this medal ?? so much so i asked my gfriend for help she thought i meant the olympic medal so she searched the 1936 olympics lol
many thanks
