I'm getting a very bad feeling that there may be a lot of fake pieces in your collection.
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....
You caught be prior to signing off! Thank you! I just wanted to show you this piece just something I grabbed. as you can see it has the recipients initials W.H.W. , CEJ marked, and hallmarked .900 silver content dated 1-7-1935. I just wanted to show you fellas in contrast to the Heer para badge that pieces were made from .900 silver. As collectors we owe it to ourselves to think outside the box!
But it's a fake........

BTW I forgot to mention came out of the same estate as the Army para, and several other items.
That is a terrible fake...not even close to an original. The bird is hideous...

Please believe me and others here, your badge is a fake. It does not match any known and accepted wartime examples of this very very rare badge.
