EK2 and War Merit w/ Swords...Good or Bad????

I agree with Adrian. The Ek2 are S&L design.
Im not sure that I have seen this core in a W&L, but I will compare at my W&L examples later.
I have a few W&L, so I might have a chance.
Nick, please look at yours also..

Thank you for the additional photos and well done on a good deal! I'm going to change my mind over the maker of the EK2. After seeing these better pics, I now believe the EK2 is a '123' - Beck, Hassinger & Co. I still can't place the core though. The reverse date is a real puzzler.

Happy to hear I made a good deal on two authentic pieces. I have a cased "65" EK1, EKII (has less patina than this one) and a party pin all posted in threads here. This is my first War Merit. I really like that it has the long ribbon with it. I also have a thread for an infantry assault and "65" wound badge here that I am looking for advice on price, those would be my next additions, for the right price, of course!

I 'm back on this thread because was my intention to id the EKII.
I didn't remember right, the 1813 date is not similar with a W&L type, date I remember is similar with another maker.
Now in my head I have a clearest thought, that date and frame is close to another maker I think, please Adrian can you show the reverse of a marked 19 to compare frame and date ?
