Erdkampfabzeichen Arno Walpach

I wanted to share with you my Arno Walpach-produced Erdkampfabzeichen. I liked the fact that it has plenty of the original finish remaining, and I've always found the design quite striking...Paid 175 Euros for it, which I felt was a good deal as well...

There are some good fakes of this badge out there and it pays to study the details closely. I got caught out by one here on the forum a while ago.

I believe it compares very well with the originals here on the Forum and has all the hallmarks of a Walpach-produced badge...I'm pretty sure I did my homework on this one...hope you agree, lol...

I thought the eagle was applied with a rivet , or is that type from a different maker ?

Not in all cases Chris, some later war badges were cast in one piece to cut costs and make production quicker.

Does anyone else have any more thoughts on this badge?

I hope I'm wrong, but something seems off on the hardware on the reverse of this badge compared to mine. The eagle also seems to lack detail, once again, hope I'm wrong.

Anyone else?
