Hi , I have been watching this one rather than comment as the badge in question is a perplexing one. My "gut" feeling when I first saw it was that it was a fake/post war produced award. After reading the learned research by Ned and Mr Durante I am inclined to fall on the side of a badge made by an original wartime producer post war, the main reason I feel this is that the wear on the two known examples appears identical. Personally I would pass on this award and buy something that is a certain period piece. Otherwise you may have a hell of a job selling it on in the future!! Leon.
