The riveted catch & hinge are not in question. From memory these badges are unknown maker # 10 in Frank Heukemes GAB book.
Anything in this design with a JFS logo is a fake.

Completely agree, the hardware isn't the issue, the JFS logo combined with this hardware is.

I just hobbled down & got out the book (a little bit gouty at the moment!) There are 3 badges attributed
to this maker. Yours is unknown maker # 10 type 1.27.1 .
