Anyone ever come across one with three rivets?
I've personally never seen one and I don't think any recognised maker used three rivets in construction of their Para badges.
Have you found one? Do you have any photos?
I suppose it might be possible to find an original but repaired badge to which an extra rivet was added as part of the repair but I would suggest this would need a close inspection.
There are several more experienced Luftwaffe badge collectors who frequent the forum who might be able to give you more information.

This is an interesting thread starter snoman.
where would the 3rd rivet be located as I have never seen a 3 riveted badge?
All the best

Hi guys,
I too would be interested in seeing a Para badge with 3 rivets. I have only seen 2 examples with 3 rivets in the past, but both were postwar Souval fakes.

Using-Third rivet is thru eagle's head-not a repair-suspect it's a fake-but why try to fake it with an extra rivet?Has what looks like L1 scratched on reverse of eagle. Regards,Steve
Thomas-just beginning to learn how to post pictures-hopefully soon.Regards,Steve
