Since moving to Germany, and with my firearms and field gear in storage, I have started my collection of TR medals. Here is my new addition. Non maker marked, but with most of the silver and very little zinc bubbling. The ribbon that came with it is the slightly wider style and shorter. This ribbon is original wartime production cut from a roll and looks much nicer for display. Sorry for the quality of pics, as my camera will not focus down enough so I scanned these. I really like these. The design, purpose of issue and colors just scream Wehrmacht to me.

They are a good well designed medal. Rated as "common" by collectors, but they tend to forgot what the poor soldier had to endure to be awarded one.

    Cheers, Ade.

Nice one Johnnie, unfortunately by most collectors underestimated but in fact a beautiful medal to look at and one that represent horrible suffering on the Eastern front.

Thank you! Yes I agree that it is underestimated. To me it is one of the most outstanding TR designed medals.
