It's interesting to note that the guys on WAF are calling it as the 'claw fake' which was along the lines I was thinking. But I saw it as being more of a "cousin" of that badge because all the 'claw fakes' I've seen before have the eagle clutching the swastika with the LEFT foot whereas Cam's badge has the swastika clearly being held in the RIGHT foot. To demonstrate what I mean, here's a selection of different 'claw fakes' showing in each case the LEFT foot doing the gripping!
So if not a "cousin" then perhaps it would be more accurate if I called it a "variation" of the bogus type they deem it to be......
Every day's a school day.....
Regards, Ned.

I don't like the wreath at all very bad details so imo a fake.
Thanks H.

Definitely not THE claw fake. The legs are completely different as are the claws.
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....
Hello All,
I think Ned nailed this one with the S&L fake pictured previously.
The S&L fake badge comes with a variety of hardware and this set up looks about one of the better attempts.
That eagle looks to be quite poorly executed but in a bad light on a rainy day on a car boot sale it would be worth a punt
(I really should carry a loup with me)
Big thumbs down for me.
All the best
Doug
