Another antique mall find from this week. Happened upon it by chance. Dealer offered refund should I find it to be not authentic, though it comes from his collection and he has had it since the 70's. I'm no authority on these, but I think it looks very, very good. Also, turns out the dealer lives on the same street I grew up on, knows my parents and I know his son-in-law, so I'm pretty sure I'm OK on this one. I took lots of pics so enjoy

It looks like it it's trying to be a Brehmer, but some details are not right, especially the lack of detail on the wreath where it meets the wing on the left.
Hope I'm wrong.

Hi,i too am seeing the weak detailing on the upper wreath. That said the rest is crisply struck.T he small hinge set up on the back were also used by BERG & NOLT but they are usually counter-sunk into the obverse.I am not sure about this one but it is overall a nice badge.

I think there i some gunk gathered in that corner by the wing, and that may be covering some of the details. I'll check in better light and maybe get a few more shots of just that area. I was curious if the pin and catch are repaired. Anyone else think that's a possibility?

Hello there,

Can you show somewhat of a side-shot of the swastika? In one photo it looks like there is access metal in between the arms.

I would say stay on the side of caution! The badge has many good aspects for sure but the hardware set up does ring if not all bells but the odd one or two.That patch of weak detail concerns me but if you can get it in your hand before you buy and it is just "gunk" and the price is fair it may be worth your while.

Depending on the cost have a go!!
