I think its OK - just looks weird ...Man, these pins are thin sometimes, amazing more didn't break!

You can see that the pin appears thin as well, but you can also see that it is flattened where it sits in the hinge so it is not likely a replacement.

Hi Adrian, I was trying to get more detailed pics of the catch. I will post when I have them. Should the pin extend so far, and aren't they usually pointed? The slight hollowback looks consistent with other examples I have seen.
Looks like a nice badge Al. You'll want to get some Vaseline on the zinc pest though.
