Fliegerschutzenabzeichen für Bordfunker und Bordschutzen Assman
Good evening Gentlemen, Here's another badge from my recent pickups, weighing in at only 12.8 grams is this Fliegerschutzenabzeichen für Bordfunker und Bordschutzen or Radio operator & Air gunners badge by Assman. I believe this Aluminium version to be a pre war type 2 correct me if i'm wrong , Looking forward as always to your opinions good or bad ,Regards ,Paul
Looks good to me, a mid pattern type as opposed to the early thinner wreath version. Although not really considered rare, the overall badge is a particularly nice one as the wreath and eagle retaining practically all it's finish is very hard to find.

A nice and original Assmann Bordfunker Abzeichen.
Indeed made of Aluminium and hard to find. This badges are often coming with a repaired catch, but the catch is looking also fine at yours.
