I've compared this guy to a few originals and it matches up pretty well at first glances. However the wreath seems a little soft to me and the maker mark just doesn't look quite right. Any opinions? Thanks.

I think its been refinished but looks ok imo.

Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....
hence the softness issue on the wreath Adrian.hope I am correct.
Most kriegs badges look soft.
Looks fine. I see nothing amiss.

I think it's fine too. The badge is tombak and the original finish has been worn from the wreath leaving the gold just in the recesses between the leaves and along the stems. The higher points have been worn to the yellowish base metal which is easier to see on the prow and gun barrels.

Thanks guys. I always have a tough time with KM bages because I always think they have a soft appearance. I suppose that's just one of their characteristics as noted above.
