Article about: Hello, I have this medal of Gebirgs- Nachrichten Abteilung 54 from 1942. In very bad condition... But, I'm interesting how many pieces were made and is it rare or no???

    Hi Alfonso, I have no idea of how many were made? If you look up how many men were in the unit and say double it, I think that might be a fair way of guessing? They are not a common item. Pity about the condition.

    On the averse (photo 1), there is a tactical symbole of that unit with mountain flower margarete.
    And, there are a lot infos about that medal and unit in the book about german Gebirgstruppen WWII.
