Got a Heeres Flakabzeichen in nickel. Not to keen on these particular badges. Ive researched and matched a few but I am not confident just yet in this hobby in making a fiinal decisions on originals. I will pass it though here for final thoughts

This one is a fake based on the Forster & Barth design but there are multiple differences between this and an original badge.
Here is the reverse of an original. The differences should be obvious.

Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....
Yeah, I was comparing this of emedals.com as well and noticed the differences. Second pair of eyes never hurt though.
Hi Adrian,i thought it was a fake as i just looked at it,but i'm no expert on these so i was just wondering if i was right in thinking that the "cogs" on the obverse were wrong in the way the teeth are round blobs rather than pointed teeth? As you point out the catch on the reverse looks wrong as does the shape of the hollow section. Leon.
I've uploaded the obverse photo of the original badge now for comparison. I can see what you mean about the cogs/wheels Leon but as you can see, they're quite blob like even on a good badge.
If you look at the Juncker below, you will note that one of the wheels has blobby grips and the other has none at all.
