You do right Kenneth So many collectors feel the same.

I am pleased not everyone is after bling or there would be none left for me!

I too do not display my items but only because my wife wont let me

Are the EKs not matching the colour of the sofa or is it the tiny, nasty, evil, little swastikas your wife does not approve of?

Even I have some mint items in my collection, Nick - I quite like the feeling of seeing an object pretty much as it was seen in its time - I just could not be happy if it all was mint and "untouched". Paradoxically my favorite object of my collection materially speaking is a stonemint Luftwaffe 'Division Hermann Göring' EM/NCO private purchase visor cap (the one in my avatar) - I did show some horrible photos of it in the "post your mintiest item thread". Go figure

    Hochachtungsvoll,

    Kenneth

    Hi Tom,

Looks like G20(?). I think this type is the least common of the Hindenburg crosses, being a widows/parents example (Fur Witwen und Eltern), of which about 700,000 were rendered. Over 6,000,000 combatant versions and over 1,100,000 non-combatant crosses were also rendered as of 1937.

Carl,Its as good as gold!I have one mounted on a single medal bar and i like it.It doesnt have to be a 4-5 figure medal to enjoy it!!Think what is was given for and realize what the family member went through! Carl
