Hm... he calls it an original zincer with completely replaced reverse hardware. Base metal looks off to me, it's not like any known maker's S-Boat badge and it's heavier than any known maker's S-Boat badge. In my opinion it's likely just an old post-war fake.

As Norm has said, that base metal does not look right at all, I have heard that towards the end of Mr Niemann's time trading there were quite a few instances of fakes being "certified" good. I'm guessing he may have had other "experts" doing the authenticating who made mistakes, so I would not hold to much credence to the certificate personally. Leon.

The certificate is the 1st red flag. Detlev got away for far too many years pretending to be the unquestionable voice of authenticity...
