The shield is made by J.C.Maedicke and it's very difficult to find these bronzed steel shields in half decent condition never mind as minty as this one!Although you can't see it, on the reverse is a stamped makers mark of an 'M' inside a diamond (see below). This was linked to Maedicke due to them producing KM uniform buttons stamped with the same logo. What a cracking find, but I bet Ade already knows that....

What really excellent examples of all the badges you have pictured and it is really nice to see that we still have some nice stuff in the closet over here.
