Sadly Doug, I could never afford to keep it all together.

But the whole lot, as individual items, will be up for sale at the end of April.

    Cheers, Ade.

    That is a real pity.
I just hate seeing collections split up and the poor person selling them is going to dip out on the full value of the items.

    All the best

It'll be my pleasure as this is a rare maker indeed!

The shield is made by J.C.Maedicke and it's very difficult to find these bronzed steel shields in half decent condition never mind as minty as this one! Although you can't see it, on the reverse is a stamped makers mark of an 'M' inside a diamond (see below). This was linked to Maedicke due to them producing KM uniform buttons stamped with the same logo. What a cracking find, but I bet Ade already knows that....

    Regards, Ned.
Hi Ned, this is my example I just bought, most of these from this maker are normally found in this condition, finding a mint one like Ade s is extremely rare, considering this maker is already rare. Was told these were found at Breslau in the eighties and typically they have the brown colour cloth, regards, Juan
