I really like them but cannot help you on the matter.

Yes Sindri. I got hooked on the Krim-shield which has the best design of all shield types.

    Hello Jonas,
the shields look fine to me.
Do you mean by two completely different shields made by the same firm? If you do, I don't think there are.
Your pictures are pretty dark and one looks to have more die wear than the other but I can't really tell.

If you look at the rings on the legs one looks to have less detail and a more rounded head but both type 3.7

    All the best

    Hi Doug,

Thanks for you comment, I took some new images, hope they are better.

Yes, I mean two different shields by the same unknown maker 3.7.

    My main observations are:
    - Different eagle head
    - Different breast feathers
    - Different claws
    - The water pattern, also the same "water pattern" beneath the swastika

    You are right Jonas,
I have been having a look at my database of shields and the shield you picture on the left above I have as a 3.7 Variation and appears to be more hard to find than the example with the orange peel sea detail and more rounded beak on the eagles head.

As far as I know this type hasn't been given it's own designation it still has the generic 3.7 label.

    All the best

    Thanks for the comment Dough.

For now I regard both these shields as variations of maker type 3.7. Lets see what the future will tell.

Nice Krims and I agree, it's my favorite of all the shields. Currently only have two with the most recent formerly worn by Hptm Hans Augustin. DKiG recipient 34th I.D.
