    Default Luftwaffe Erdkampfabzeichen original?

    Hi there guys,

Recently I bought this LW ground assault badge.
I had the chance to buy it for 85 euro, I know they can go for a lot more.
But this one has some damage, it is missing the back lock and as well it looks like someone tried to remove the swastika.
Can anyone confirm that it is a genuine Erdkampfabzeichen? And what it is worth nowadays in this condition?
    Thx

It's original. Late war type zinc badge where the eagle is an integral piece of the pressing, rather than the earlier type that had a buntmetal eagle rivetted to it. This was done for cost cutting purposes. The complete lack of hardware and attempted de nazification make this badge worth very little if anything imo.

I'd think it would be worth more than that. How much, i'm not sure. Stewy

Hi Douglas2496, why you say that it is 20 euro top? Even a good reproduction will go for 40 euros easily.
So I really would like to know why this piece is worth less then a reproduction.

A badge in this condition is really only worth what someone is willing to pay for it...be it $20 or $85...Consider how much you will be able to get for it when you decide to sell it later on...
    cheers, Glenn

Clearly this badge is seriously damaged and that must make a great difference to the value. Please accept my apology if my estimate is mistaken.

I think you paid 60% more than its worth.
