Hi Ed,
I'm not keen on this one at all really. It appears to me to be a copy of the Gustav Brehmer Luftwaffe Flakkampfabzeichen. The teeth on the elevation cog are poorly rendered and typical of the fake ones, as is the eagle, especially the head. Also the rear set up is near identical to the known fake badge I show below as an example of the fake I think it's the same as.
See what others have to say first though, as i'm still getting to grips with these particular badges.
Regards, Ned.

Hi Ned, I am glad you said that, as I was thinking the same thing.
Here is an original from my collection to compare with. Not the best pics, but you will get the idea.
Cheers, Ade.

Hi Ade,
Have you been hiding? That's a perfect example of an early Brehmer badge in buntmetal, the differences in the quality and crispness of the detail, plus things that are missing on the fake such as the rivets on the pedestal and the correct flatwire catch show perfectly what's what when it comes to genuine and bogus pieces in this case. Lovely.
Regards, Ned.

Thanks Ned.
Been very busy of late.
I have had that badge for many a year. Paid £23 for it back in the good old days.....
Cheers, Ade.

Looks like a fake, Wiedmann eagle, but Wiedmann was only made zinc flaks, the set-up is also wrong. Brehmer has totally different eagle as you can see on Ade's example.
Gentleman, Thank you very much. Your feedback is most valued and appreciated. Thanks as well for posting the photos and giving detailed feedback on how to compare an original badge with a fake one. It helps greatly with the learning process.
