This is the infamous 'claw fake' It can be found marked for several manufacturers.
If you compare this to a genuine Assmann badge you will see notable differences. The eagle's beak and the extent to which the mouth goes halfway down it's neck is wrong. The details of the gun, the amount of rivets on the above is completely different on an Assmann badges, there were none around the base of the gun. The Assmann makers mark should also be raised, not stamped.
The name 'claw fake' came about because of the deformed looking claw clutching the swastika, easy to spot once you know about it.

new camera is on its way. my camera does not pic up the assman mark on the back very well. as stated the A is raised on this one. and there are no rivets at the base of the gun. deadeye
talk to the camera guy. he was steering me on what type camera would pic up the most detail on the up close shots. tried to get up close of the back. the auto zoom goes in and out .tried the manuel mode. and no luck there. either. will get the new camera sat. will get a pic of the back and will post this weekend. i know its important to get the best pics for reference. will do my best .deadeye
