It looks like a nicly patina'd example but the '1938' looks slightly different to what I am used to seeing. Maybe there are slight variants

Yes that one is the same, Glenn's is different

I think the major difference appears to be the '9'? Where the circular section seems to end in either a more open or closed configuration.
